Warpage Analysis
Warp analysis determines the causes of warpage in molded parts and predicts where the warpage will occur in the part. Based on the causes of warpage as seen from the analysis, part warpage can be controlled by optimizing design, material and processing parameters.Overcoming of warpage problems in the design stage itself helps to avoid costly reworks on mold and time delays.
In Warp Analysis studies, we are able to predict the warp-age that occurs in a part. This enables us to design better parts & establish the conformance of the part to the drawing dimensions and specified tolerances. The ability to visualize & isolate the reasons for warpage assists us to plan differential compensations for shrinkage, fible orientation & planning of cooling circuits to obtain a part with the closest match to geometry specified.
Warp analysis facilitates understanding of
- Deflection in X, Y and Z direction.
- Effect of corrective actions to minimize warpage.
- Final shape of the product.
